Beginning August 25, 2025, a CSUF parking permit will be required at all times

Why Require Permits at All Times?

Consistent with the California Education Code 42201, it is required that all vehicles parked on campus pay to park.

Graduated Weekend Parking Rate

CSUF will implement a graduated daily parking rate on Saturdays and Sundays.

Impacts To Semester & Payroll Deduction Permit Holders

Semester and payroll deduction permits will remain valid on weekends in designated campus locations.

Where Do Permit Fees Go?

The purchase of a parking permit enables CSUF to build and maintain parking facilities and cover operating costs associated with the parking program. These include construction costs, campus reimbursements, operating expenses, parking lot maintenance, repairs, and mitigation measures.

I’m An Off-site Permit Holder. Will This Change Impact Me?

Off-site parking will continue to operate Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 10:15 p.m., at Fullerton Free Church.

Beginning Fall 2025, Off-site permits will be valid on campus Friday – Sunday, during finals week, and campus closure dates. On these select days, Off-site permit holders may park in student areas with the exception of the Eastside North Parking Structure, which is reserved exclusively for Student Commuter permit holders.

Resident Guest Parking

Overnight parking (1 AM – 6 AM) is designated in Lot A. Resident guests must purchase a valid daily parking permit for the duration of their stay.

Please Note: Daily permits expire at 11:59 p.m. daily.

I’d Like To Sponsor Guest Parking On Weekends

Departments may request to lease parking facilities at a negotiated cost. To request a sponsored event, please contact the Parking Office at 657-278-3082.
