Frequently Asked Questions

  • What’s my username and password? Your username and password are the same as your campus username and password, which usually is the initial of your first name followed by your last name (for example: John Smith's his username would be "jsmith").
  • Do I have to live close to campus to participate? No. The program is about promoting wellness and walking/cycling as an alternative commute mode. You can walk whenever you want; to and from campus, at the park and mall etc. We just want you to get moving and be healthy.
    There are two ways for participants to accrue miles:
    • Commuting between campus and home
    • "Leisure Miles"
  • I walk from one campus building to another, does that count? Yes. Just enter the miles/minutes walked in the section labeled, “Leisure Miles.”
  • Can I enter the mile/minute progress for my teammate? No. Each individual is responsible for entering their own progress.
  • Can I register for my teammate? Yes. In fact, one person can register both teammates.
  • How can I compare my team’s progress to others? The map, accessible under the tab labeled “View Map” lists all the teams, in order of progress. The campus list on the left lets you know where you are on the CSU Virtual Journey. The journey starts at San Diego State University and ends at Humboldt State University.
