CSUF Vanpool Program
Vanpool to CSUF
With rush hour freeways speeds in California averaging 35 mph, and rush hour times extending to seven hours a day (6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), chances are your commute is consuming quite a bit of your day. Vanpools can take advantage of High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes and save, on average, one minute per mile they travel. The average vanpool in California that uses HOV lanes cuts its travel time by 40 minutes per day. Imagine what you could do with 40 extra minutes each day!
Vanpooling is a group of seven to fourteen people who commute together on a regular basis in a van leased from companies such as Enterprise Vanpool. It works best for commuters who drive long distances, work fairly regular hours, and don't mind the company of others. Vanpoolers can avoid the daily traffic grind, stress, anxiety and often road rage.
If you are a participant and do not own a parking permit, you may receive a vanpool subsidy up to $120. If you choose to keep your permit, you can receive a $30 subsidy.
Try vanpooling with peace of mind: We'll give you the
maximum subsidy for the first three months regardless of your parking permit
ownership status.
If you vanpool, you can relax, read, work, or simply sleep! You will save money and arrive to campus stress free because you chose to Vanpool! If you are concerned about leaving your car at home, it’s okay, the Commuter Choice Supplementary Programs makes it easy!
