AQMD Annual Commuter Survey
About the Survey
To comply with local air quality regulations, CSUF must submit an annual trip reduction plan to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). One component of the plan is an annual survey to determine CSUF's progress in meeting the air quality mandates of reducing the number of vehicle trips ~ a source of air pollutants ~ and improve air quality in Southern California. The annual survey is conducted to gather information about commute times and patterns for faculty and staff employees.
Using a random sample methodology, approximately one quarter of faculty and staff employees are selected annually to participate in an online survey. Department coordinators are appointed to distribute notifications and survey instructions to employees who are randomly selected. If chosen, it is very important to return a completed survey, as non-responses negatively affect survey results.
