Commuterfest is designed to promote and encourage commute options to faculty, staff and students. Entertainment will include free carnival games, prizes and raffle. Free food will be provided for all to enjoy. Last year, our event attracted over five hundred faculty, staff and students and this year our expectations are higher.
Thursday May 20, 2004 is also California’s annual bicycle celebration, Bike to Work Day. To prepare for Bike to Work Day, local Fullerton bike shops (JAX Bicycle Shop and Two Wheels One Planet) are offering free inspections and 15% off parts and maintenance. Jax Bicycle Shop will be at Commuterfest to assist our cycling community. If you would like to pledge to bike to work and qualify to win prizes, information is available on the Orange County Transportation Authority’s website: http://www.octa.net/media.asp?category=media&page=press%20release&subPage=press_051007.
