Parking Permit Fees/Types
Parking fees will be increased in July 2007 for California Faculty Association (CFA – Unit 3) and California State University Employees’ Union (CSUEU – Units 2, 5, 7 and 9) employees pursuant to their respective collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
Pursuant to Article 32 of the Faculty CBA, parking fees will be increased by the percentage amount of the GSI. Parking fees for Unit 3 employees will be increased by three percent (3%) effective July 2007 pay period to correlate with the 3% GSI effective July 1, 2006 for FY 2006/07. For FY 2007/08, parking fees will be increased by 4.7% in a future pay period to be determined upon approval of the FY 2007/08 State budget that will combine a FY 2006/07 June 30, 2007 1% parking fee increase with a FY 2007/08 July 1, 2007 3.7% parking fee increase.
Effective with the July pay period parking for faculty will increase to $12.36 per month.
Pursuant to CSUEU’s Side Letter of Agreement #14, dated May 10, 2007, parking fees for CSUEU employees shall be increased by the cumulative percentage amount of the GSI for FY 2006/07 at four percent (4%). For FY 2007/08, parking fees shall be increased by the percentage amount of the GSI for FY 2007/08 in a future pay period to be determined upon approval of the FY 2007/08 State budget.
Effective with the July pay period parking fees for CSUEU employees will increase to $12.48 per month.
Faculty/staff who are not represented by bargaining units 1-9 - non-represented employees (e.g., MPP, confidential assistants, ASI, UAF and ASC) and represented bargaining unit 11 Teaching Associates (2353 & 2354) must purchase a Non-Represented F/S permit. Faculty/Staff Permits paid via Payroll Deduction - Represented and Non-Represented F/S permits may be purchased by payroll deduction. Teaching Associate Parking Privileges - Teaching associates (classification code 2353, 2354) are eligible to purchase the Non-Represented semester parking permit at Parking & Transportation Office (T-1400). Graduate assistants and student assistants may only purchase student permits online through the Campus Portal or at the Parking & Transportation office (T-1400).
CFA Unit 3 Parking Permit Reciprocity – Unit 3 faculty employed at two or more campuses are not required to purchase multiple permits. Faculty permits from other CSU campuses are valid only in faculty/staff and student surface parking lots and when displayed concurrently with a CSU, Fullerton Faculty Reciprocity Permit. Faculty permits from other CSU campuses are not valid in the Fullerton campus parking structures.
To obtain a CSUF Faculty Reciprocity Permit, Unit 3 faculty must provide photo I.D. to verify proof of employment at CSU Fullerton, and their CSU campus permit at the Parking & Transportation office, located at T-1400 (North of the University Police Department). The no-cost CSUF Faculty Reciprocity Permit will be issued for the valid dates printed on the CSU campus faculty permit or the semester that the request is for, which ever is shorter.
Permit Sale Location - F/S semester and payroll deduction permit sales are ONLY sold at the Parking & Transportation Office, 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
Identification - to determine employment status and parking permit eligibility, a CSUF TitanCard or acceptable photo I.D. must be presented at the time an employee purchases a permit. CMS and CSUF People Directory will be used to verify employment information. F/S permits will NOT be sold if employment status cannot be verified at the time of purchase. Associated Students Inc. and ASC employees must present written documentation acceptable to Parking & Transportation, from ASI Human Resources or ASC Human Resources, stating the employee is for faculty/staff parking privileges.
