Project Update
Site Work Expansion
Site Plazas, Sidewalks, Seating Areas and Landscaping
To begin November 8, 2007
Beginning November 8, 2007, the Steven G. Mihaylo Hall, College of Business and Economics, the project construction perimeter fencing will be expanded to capture the remaining site areas that are to be completed as part of the project.
This expansion will happen in three separate areas around the current site. The first area will include the service area at the north side of the project and directly east of University Hall adjacent to Carl’s Jr. and Parking Lot F. The second area will include the south edge of Carl’s Jr. and the final area at the plaza and intersection in front of Langsdorf Hall and Nutwood Avenue. During this duration persons accessing Carl’s Jr, the Cashier, Admissions and Records at the University Hall Plaza will be required to use the sidewalks west of Langsdorf and University Hall.
To accommodate this site expansion a service area will be provided at the south end of Parking Lot F for trucks servicing University Hall, Langsdorf Hall and Carl’s Jr. Service trucks accessing this area will have to enter Parking Lot F from Folino Drive.

Langsdorf Hall Fountain Plaza is the final area of expansion and will include the closure of the South Campus Drive Parking Lot
in order to complete the last section of sidewalk, curb and gutter that will complete the work along Nutwood Avenue. This last section of sidewalk work will remove the vehicle exit from South Campus Drive and require its closure. This parking lot will be remodeled to include a reconfigured Parking Lot and Traffic Turnaround, scheduled to be completed during the spring of 2008.

Due to the temporary closure of the South Campus Drive Parking Lot, the VIC (Visitor Information Center) will be closed and a new temporary VIC will be located at Arts Drive by the Performing Arts Center and Parking Structure 1;
access to this location will be off of State College Avenue.

ADA compliant parking stalls are located at Parking Structure 1 and available on all levels directly adjacent to the elevators. During this phase of work, bikes will still need to be walked through the campus core from the county bike path just north of the Education Building to the Langsdorf Hall Fountain Plaza to the south. Vehicle patterns will remain the same during this expanded site phase.
As work on the project continues, future project updates will be distributed University-wide to identify changes and impacts to the campus.
